Welcome to The Colonel’s Kitchen, where backyard grilling meets Southern hospitality and military precision! I’m Colonel (Retired) Eric Robinson, and after 30 years of leading soldiers around the globe, I’ve traded in my boots for tongs and a smoker—bringing the same passion, discipline, and attention to detail from the battlefield to the grill.

Rooted in my South Carolina farm upbringing and inspired by generations of family cooks, my love for bold, Southern flavors runs deep. From those early days to grilling through college, my fire for cooking only grew stronger. Today, I bring that same heart and soul to every event—serving up smoked meats and vegetables crafted with locally sourced ingredients and Southern flair.

Vertical Transportation Services was founded after decades inside an industry that had quietly drifted away from that principle. Maintenance contracts were sold — but not always fulfilled. Technicians were overloaded. Small preventable issues turned into expensive repairs. Modernizations were pushed earlier than necessary.

Property managers and HOA boards were left managing rising costs, recurring shutdowns, and unclear documentation.

Ms.Froggy's Misadventures

My family has called Atlanta home for more than five generations—though you’d never guess it from my accent. I lived on the West Coast for over a decade and spent another decade globetrotting as a full-time travel writer, covering everything from Europe and Asia to the Americas.

Travel taught me one thing: the best experiences aren’t found in gift shops. I’ve taken hundreds of tours, and I always gravitated toward the quirky, the hidden, and the downright peculiar: hole-in-the-wall mom-and-pop eateries, outsider art galleries, and local legends that even longtime Atlanta locals don’t know.
